Your information, your choice
Your ideas deserve a place to live without becoming another account to manage. Here is how saved collections and optional features handle information. Updated October 7, 2026.

Basic comparisons work on your device. AI features and outcome sharing explain what will be sent and require your choice.
The tools need general planning details. Names, account information and reservation numbers are unnecessary.
Saved ideas and boards are stored in your browser’s local storage. The decision tools can also save a comparison locally when you choose to save it. These collections are not an online account and do not automatically sync to another device. Remove saved items or boards in the site, or clear this site’s browser storage to delete them. Removing a board keeps its ideas in All saved.
The basic comparisons run in your browser. Do not enter names, contact information or sensitive details: each tool needs only the planning details shown in its form.
When you describe your situation in your own words, the text is read on your device to fill in the form. Typed descriptions are not sent anywhere unless you choose AI reading. If AI reading is enabled and you tick the box to use it, the description is sent to our server and to OpenAI to fill in the form. It is not saved by the application.
Selecting Speak your answer asks your browser to use the microphone for dictation. Your browser may send audio to its speech recognition provider under that provider’s policies. Fat Finances does not record or store the audio. The resulting text appears in the form for you to check; it is handled like a typed description. Voice entry only starts when you choose it, can be stopped, and is optional. You can always type instead.
After a decision, you can choose to share what you chose, whether it was worth it, and whether you would choose it again. We store those answers with a few broad details shown before you share, such as a group-size band and your stated priority, plus the month. We do not store your budget, exact ages, dates, notes, IP address or anything that identifies you. Sharing is optional and off unless you tick the box.
If the AI brief is enabled and you request one, a general summary of your planning details is sent to our server and to OpenAI to produce the brief. This feature is separate from the basic comparison. The application does not save these requests to a customer database, although hosting and AI providers may retain operational records under their own policies. Read OpenAI’s privacy policy for its practices.
If you submit the email form, your email is sent through Web3Forms to the site’s configured recipient. Do not submit it unless you want to receive Fat Finances updates. See Web3Forms’ privacy information.
The site includes Vercel Web Analytics to understand page visits and improve the experience. Personal planner details are not included in the custom analytics events we send. See Vercel’s analytics privacy information.
Provider and social links take you to other websites, which have their own privacy practices. Copying or printing a comparison creates a document that can contain your planning details; choose where you share it.
